Techno by Drumcode
Drumcode is a Swedish techno label founded in 1996 by Adam Beyer. The label grew into one of the most influential names in the international techno scene. In addition to releasing records, Drumcode organizes its own events worldwide. The collaboration with Awakenings brings that tradition to Amsterdam during one of the busiest dance weeks of the year: Amsterdam Dance Event.
The artists on the dance floor
Adam Beyer himself is behind the turntables, together with Enrico Sangiuliano and Kevin de Vries. All three are familiar faces within the Drumcode family and known for their powerful, dark tech sets. The evening offers a continuous mix of tight rhythms and deep bass, from midnight into the early morning.
Awakenings as organizer
Awakenings has been organizing major techno events in the Netherlands for years and has built a strong name in the international dance world. The collaboration with Drumcode is a logical combination: two parties with a shared vision on techno music and club culture.
The Sugar Factory as a backdrop
The Sugarfactory in Halfweg is an industrial event complex located on the grounds of a former sugar factory dating back to 1863. The high ceilings, steel structures, and brick walls give the building a raw atmosphere that suits the music well. The complex is situated between Amsterdam and Haarlem, within walking distance of Halfweg-Zwanenburg station.
