Kurdish roots in an electronic guise
Chamos is a duo with members of Kurdish and Dutch descent. Their music combines traditional Kurdish melodies and percussion with contemporary electronic club music. This creates a unique sound that connects two worlds: West Asian musical traditions and modern bass and rhythms. This mix can be heard not only in their tracks but also in their DJ sets.
Preview of EP Hawrave
Chamos is releasing their EP Hawrave in the fall. The club show at Skatecafe is a first look at that new work. Earlier this year, they played a sold-out show at Paradiso. Now they return to Skatecafe, a place they know well and that suits the atmosphere of their music. Expect an intimate setting with room for the music to settle.
