Apollonia takes the lead

The Parisian DJ trio Apollonia — consisting of Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom, and Shonky — is curating a night for the Amsterdam underground collective VBX at club Shelter. Apollonia is known for their back-to-back-to-back format: the three DJs take turns playing records for sets that regularly last 5 hours or longer. Their sound is rooted in underground house, techno, and the subtler sides of the danceable spectrum.

VBX: a household name in the Amsterdam underground

VBX was founded in 2013 by Niels Modderkolk and has grown over more than a decade into one of Amsterdam's leading underground house and techno collectives. The collective regularly invites renowned international guests to curate a night — and in doing so, brings a unique perspective to the dance floor each time.

Club Shelter under the A'DAM Tower

Shelter is located in the basement of the A'DAM Tower, across the IJ. The club features a Funktion-One sound system and two dance floors. It is a place known for its focus on music, atmosphere, and sound — with a loyal crowd that comes specifically for it.
