The Urban Scientist

The Urban Scientist is a free children's festival focused on science and technology for children aged 6 to 12 in Amsterdam Southeast, on Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12, 2026. The children will get to work as real scientists. How fun is that! They will be introduced to physics and chemistry experiments that they can also perform themselves.

What kind of experiments?

Think of making slime, electric robot brush cars, isolating your own DNA, and much more. All activities are supervised by students and teachers with a background in exact sciences (teaching).

Program

In addition to science and technology, there are also performances, food, drinks, and music. A real festival for children *and* their parents/guardians. During the festival, the intention is for us to learn from and with each other. Science and technology is for everyone!
