Personal stories have been translated into powerful designs

Temple of Unity is an 18-meter-high art installation and meeting place during WorldPride Amsterdam. The installation consists of 60 colorful Unity Flags, a large portion of which were created by queer refugees and newcomers who have translated their personal stories into powerful designs.

During WorldPride, we organize daily creative workshops where visitors make their own Unity Flag and add it to the temple. In this way, the installation grows every day into a collective artwork that makes connection, diversity, freedom, and inclusion visible. Everyone is welcome to help build it.

WorldPride Amsterdam

For the first time ever, WorldPride comes to Amsterdam. From 25 July to 8 August 2026, the city will shine in every colour of the rainbow to celebrate freedom, diversity, and love in all its forms, as the Netherlands marks 25 years since becoming the first country to legalise gay marriage.
