In August 2026, the Netherlands, together with Belgium, will be the beating heart of the global hockey world! The FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 brings together the 16 best men's and 16 best women's teams in the world for a double world championship. From August 15 to 30, 2026, the teams will compete for eternal glory at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen and the Belfius Hockey Arena in Waver.
Vibrant festival atmosphere
During the tournament, four matches are played daily at each location, surrounded by a vibrant festival atmosphere: a fan zone full of music, food, drinks, shops, and spectacular hockey activities. The FIH ParaHockey World Cup is also being organized simultaneously, placing diversity and inclusion at the forefront.
The OranjeHockey Women's and Men's teams play their group matches in Amsterdam; the Red Lions and Red Panthers in Waver. The semi-finals are split between both locations, with the women's final on August 29 in Amsterdam and the men's final on August 30 in Waver.

We Welcome the World
The Hockey World Cup is not the only World Cup in the Amsterdamse Bos this year. From August 24 to 30, the World Rowing Championships will take place on the Bosbaan. More information about both World Cups.
