About living with ME
The exhibition shows that ME really exists, even though the disease is barely visible and rarely appears in the news. Many prejudices and assumptions fail to accurately depict just how devastating ME is.
The exhibition presents work by talented artists with ME in an accessible way. Through their willpower and creativity, the severity of the disease is made visible.
At the same time, the exhibition calls attention to children, artists, and the many patients with ME in the Netherlands. Many of them live unnoticed and largely forgotten behind closed doors.

On Sunday, May 3 at 3:00 PM, two experts will be present to focus on ME. Vivienne Matthies-Boon , Professor of Medical Ethics of Post-Acute Diseases at Radboud University, and occupational physician and clinical occupational medicine specialist Ernst Jurgens . They will speak about “ Myalgic Encephalomyelitis: How to take patients’ experiences seriously and why we have failed to fully understand this disease for so long?”
