Sign Of The Times

'I wanted to capture the anger and fear of these times,' says 74-year-old Trout. 'Writing is therapy. The songs are not just about what is happening, but also about what it does to your mind. The title was self-evident.' With ten finished songs, Trout headed into the studio with his band. That resulted in one of the hardest albums of his career. 'We had heavy subjects, so we went all in musically as well.'

Broken

Although it seems as if his previous album Broken was only just released and immediately reached number 1 on the Billboard Blues Chart, the new songs couldn't wait. The riffs emerged quickly, thanks in part to the contribution of his wife and manager Dr. Marie Trout, whose lyrics hit the themes hard. "We had so many ideas that we could have made a triple album," says Trout.
