Vilacello Trio – Bartolomeo Fortino-Shields

A special evening with a variety of musicians

A special evening with the Italian-American violinist Bartolomeo Fortino-Shield. He is accompanied by the Belgian pianist Anja Kuttner, a dedicated chamber musician and curator. The trio is completed by Dmitry Silvian, principal cellist of the Belgian National Orchestra and winner of the first prize in the American Protégé competition.

Together, these internationally operating teachers of the Vilacello String and Piano Festival bring their expertise to life in a program featuring Haydn’s lively “Gypsy” Trio, Beethoven’s dramatic Trio in C minor, and Schumann’s lyrical Fantasiestücke.

Bartolomeo Fortino-Shields is an Italian-American violinist based in Rome and internationally recognized by Love²Arts Management (Antwerp), the Sheva Collection (London), and the Classic Violin Olympus Competition. He has performed as a soloist in venues such as the Kaufman Music Center (New York), Auditorium Parco della Musica (Rome), Gasteig HP8 (Munich), and at Stadsherstel (Amsterdam).
