Roman Willems is an artist who creates electronic and ambient music and works with self-built instruments. In his work, he explores the relationship between analog and digital sound, balancing composition and improvisation. With his project Environments, he developed his own instrument, which forms the basis for his current working method and is also used in Confluence, in which he collaborates with pianist Koen Visser.

Koen Visser is a neoclassical pianist and composer. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he taught himself to improvise and compose. In his music, which can be described as melancholic, meditative, and minimalist, he expresses emotions that cannot be put into words. After years of releasing his own music and playing solo concerts, he is embarking on a new musical path in Confluence, together with Roman Willems.
