More about the performance
Fade Out is an intense sensory journey about resilience, loss, and regaining strength when seeing becomes less self-evident.
“Every time I take something from the light in my hands, I take it into the darkness.” — Issam Zemmouri
Issam lives with a hereditary eye condition leaving him with approximately 4% vision. In Countdown (2025), he explored this changing perception of the world in an artistic sense, which served as the prelude to Fade Out . With a remarkable spatial awareness, he moves with unexpected physical freedom, resulting in an impressive sensory dance experience.
Meet & Feel (19.30)
Issam offers visitors the opportunity to take the stage prior to the performance during a special Meet & Feel introduction, which adds depth to the experience of Fade Out for both blind and visually impaired visitors as well as sighted visitors. The Meet and Feel offers a unique opportunity to meet Issam and explore the set and space beforehand. By feeling and listening, you experience the performance in a more intense way. A special experience that is guaranteed to make an impression. Please note: there are only 20 spots available. Reservations are required.
