Splendor Jazzclub
Drummer Felix Schlarmann presents the premiere of an adventurous new piano trio together with pianist Philipp Rüttgers and bassist Zack Lober — three renowned musicians from the Dutch jazz scene.
Rüttgers is well known to Splendor audiences through earlier collaborations with artists such as Oene van Geel and River Adomeit. He and Schlarmann also share a long musical history through their work in Phil’s Music Lab, performing at major stages including the North Sea Jazz Festival.
In recent months, the two reconnected during intensive jam sessions in Rüttgers’ studio. From these creative encounters — exploring jazz standards, distinctive compositions, and original material — a fresh trio sound emerged, completed by Lober, widely regarded as one of the Netherlands’ leading bassists and known for his band No Filler.
What began as an inspiring musical meeting will now be shared with an audience for the very first time. Expect a true jazz night: intimate, adventurous, and interactive, featuring a vibrant mix of special compositions, standards, and original works.
