About Laryssa Kim

Laryssa Kim is a versatile Italian-Congolese artist who creates ritual dreamscapes in which musique concrète, acousmatic music, ambient electronics and tender vocals merge into layered compositions that move beyond traditional song structures.
Born in Rome, she developed her artistic practice within Amsterdam’s contemporary dance and theatre scene. Since 2013, she has lived and worked in Brussels, where she earned a master’s degree in Acousmatic Composition at the Royal Conservatory of Mons. In 2015, she launched her self-titled live electronics project.
On stage, hypnotic soundscapes slowly unfold, blending field recordings, minimal trip-hop textures, pulsing beats and echoing vocal loops into ever-changing electro-acoustic compositions. Laryssa Kim takes her audience on an immersive sonic journey that engages all the senses.

About Silence

Silence is a series of morning concerts. On the first Friday of every month, as the city awakens, musicians explore the centuries-old acoustics of the Oude Kerk. The series focuses on contemporary music in which acoustic, digital and electronic sounds merge. Following in the tradition of Sweelinck’s walking concerts centuries ago, audiences are invited to move through the historic architecture of the church and experience the music from different perspectives.
