Rising Stars: Amelio Trio

In the Rising Stars series, the stars of the future present themselves with personal and idiosyncratically composed programs. The Amelio Trio got an early start; the musicians played together for the first time at the age of thirteen. During their Rising Stars concerts, the German musicians connect various styles and musical languages. Helena Winkelman put pen to paper to provide the trio with a new work.

Rising Stars

In the Rising Stars series, the stars of the future present themselves with personal and distinctively curated programs. The musicians, selected by leading European concert halls, also make a stop in the Kleine Zaal during their star tour of the most prestigious stages. No evening is the same: every dream program is unique and sounds different. Moreover, every Rising Star surprises with a brand-new work. What connects all the musicians is their distinct individual voice and their fresh perspective on the music. The concerts are performed in one continuous arc of tension, without an intermission.

Amelio Trio

They were only thirteen years old when they decided to form a piano trio: the Amelio Trio. That was in 2012. Their international career gained momentum through major successes at various competitions, including the prestigious ARD-Musikwettbewerb. After a performance by the trio, the Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote: 'Although all three displayed their own distinct characters, their lively, alert interplay resulted in an exciting interpretation that held the listener's attention every second.'
