NAPA started as a group of friends making music in a basement in Madeira, where their close bond grew. Their sound emerged from a mix of influences such as Arctic Monkeys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Beatles and Brazilian artists like Caetano Veloso and Tom Jobim. Thanks to YouTube, their music reached a wider audience. They switched from English to their native language and moved to a professional studio. In 2019, they recorded their debut album Senso Comum, which became beloved for its melodies and melancholy. In 2023, Logo Se Vê followed, a more mature and experimental album with more complex structures and new musical influences. In 2024, the band went on their first national tour with sold-out shows throughout Portugal. They closed the year with the concert film O Mundo Continua a Girar, recorded at Teatro Maria Matos. In 2025, NAPA had their definitive breakthrough with the song Deslocado, with which they won Festival da Canção and represented Portugal at Eurovision Song Contest 2025. In 2026, they continued their success with major concerts and new work.
