The 23-year-old Filipino-Canadian artist MICO has developed into a striking voice within the alternative pop-rock scene, with his emotionally charged songs, catchy melodies and energetic instrumentation. From playing covers in online communities to building a dedicated fanbase. After breakthrough hit 'Internet hometown hero' and sold-out shows in North America, Europe and Asia, this year it was time for a debut album. "When the Lights Turn On" is inspired by the nostalgia of 2000s and 2010s pop-punk, with influences from modern alt-pop and hyperpop.
