Jamai says: 'Since my participation in Idols, many dreams have come true over the past 23 years. But sometimes things happen that I didn't even dare to dream of: The Concertgebouw is starting a new tradition and I get to be the very first guest to be part of this special evening. I am extremely grateful to The Concertgebouw for asking me to take on this honorable role.'

With the pop-up orchestra, we celebrate the beauty of classical masterpieces on November 17 and 18. We relive them and pass them on to a new generation. In a time when humanity faces great and important questions, music can offer answers from the past that prove surprisingly relevant to the present. Only we humans can keep art forms alive. That is precisely why it is now more important than ever to inspire one another and to make the purity of that meaning audible. I have been overwhelmed with wonderful messages from people who have enthusiastically discovered classical music. Hopefully, we will meet in November at the Concertgebouw to experience the music and its power together, and above all, to celebrate it.
