At the invitation of Sinfonia Rotterdam, the Athens State Orchestra, Greece's oldest symphony orchestra, is coming to the Netherlands under the direction of chief conductor Lukas Karytinos. With an impressive program full of musical contrasts, from the colorful Greek dances of Skalkottas to the rebellious Ninth Symphony by Shostakovich, it promises to be an evening of captivating orchestral music.
