Mozart and Brahms in an intimate chamber music version
Pianist Yang Yang Cai takes on the solo role in Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23. Originally written for piano and orchestra, this concerto sounds intimate and transparent in this chamber music version. You hear every note and the dialogue between the instruments clearly and directly. Brahms' Piano Quintet provides a powerful counterpoint: complex in structure and grand in scope, almost symphonic. All five musicians play an equal role.
