The Saraswati Collective, led by cellist Jan van der Plas, creates a program in which Indonesian sounds and classical music come together. Indonesian melodies are playfully interwoven with classical music, resulting in a surprising musical dialogue.

Meet the musicians

Cellist Jan van der Plas , harpist Josefien de Waele, and cellist Rozalia Sobecka take the stage at Waternet Amstelkwartier Amsterdam. During the Grachtenfestival, they will perform special new arrangements that reflect the rich traditions of Indonesia.
