Don Juan's debauchery also inspired Mozart; baritone Bas Cornelissen will sing two arias from the world-famous opera "Don Giovanni," one of which features the familiar plucked mandolin accompaniment.

All in all, Barock Sommer is a real treat under the direction of the young, enthusiastic, and incredibly talented conductor Fátima Hernández. She made a stunning conducting debut last summer, pushing the orchestra to its limits like never before. Her enormous talent for getting the orchestra swinging and her charisma worked wonders, and that will undoubtedly be repeated this time, ensuring both orchestra and audience thoroughly enjoy themselves.
