Exuberant and intimate

Since the 'Cheffies' started in 2008, the quintet has grown into one of the Netherlands' most successful bands. With their positive and energetic mix of rock, pop, reggae, funk, and rap, the Haarlem-based band is a welcome guest on stages at home and abroad and knows how to win over every audience member. Exuberance and intimacy alternate, aided by a dozen hits and countless fan favorites.

Semi-acoustic

During this special semi-acoustic show, the band invites fans to seek connection. With the band, with each other, and with yourself. Sharing energy together, escaping the outside world for a moment, and coming home to yourself. Musically, the focus is on the joy of playing, intimacy, and improvisation, with special versions of Chef'Special's best songs in a unique atmosphere. Chef'Special will soon be taking a year-long break, and guitarist Guido Joseph is leaving the band. So seize this opportunity to see the band at work up close in its current lineup!

The SummerConcerts powered by VriendenLoterij presents two months of wonderful concerts, from classical to jazz and from pop to film music. Top musicians from the Netherlands and around the world bring you all your favourite classical pieces.

We also present a host of young talent in our summer concerts, including youth orchestras from Ukraine and the United States, and top young classical soloists. After many of the concerts, we offer a meet-and-greet with the artists in an informal setting, or an afterparty with DJ in the Entrance Hall. In one of the world’s finest concert halls, there’s something for everyone this summer at The Concertgebouw!
