A refreshing approach to African music
The singer and guitarist grew up on the Eastern Cape of South Africa but later moved to Johannesburg to pursue his career. Despite this change, he continued to sing and write in Xhosa, his native language. He has now released three albums and has won several South African Music Awards (SAMA). With his refreshing approach to African music, Bongeziwe Mabandla is now heard worldwide, and he also appeared on Alfa Mist's latest single, 'Apho'.
