Merain (2010) is a Dutch-Austrian trio that has focused on playing folk music in its own unique way. This has created a genre that they describe as “chamber folk”: Acoustically played folk music in their own tasteful arrangements for voice, violin and Celtic harp. Merain knows how to create a relaxed and intimate atmosphere at her concerts, allowing the listener to daydream and recharge. The trio has now released 3 CDs, plays in the Netherlands, Germany and Luxembourg and is regularly a live guest on Radio 4.
