The Boom Chicago Academy

Looking to meet people from all over the world, build confidence or just be funnier at parties — or maybe even on stage? Then this is the place for you.

The Boom Chicago Academy offers a six-level curriculum packed with electives, workshops, and a whole lot of fun. In addition to making you laugh on stage, the actors are expert trainers. No experience necessary. Just bring your curiosity and your sense of humor.

A great place to start is the Intro to Improv, an eight-week course that covers all the basics — plus a few things you didn’t know you needed. If you're not quite ready to dive in then try a taster class first. If you decide to continue, the two-hour session is on the house. You’ve got nothing to lose... except maybe your fear of looking silly. (And honestly, that’s step one.)
