The Stedelijk Museum is located in the centre of Amsterdam and easy to reach by public transport. There is a spacious parking garage just around the corner from the museum. Sustainability

The Stedelijk has taken steps in environmental awareness. When organizing events, we strive to pay attention to sustainability. Together with our catering partners we put together sustainable menus for our guests. Environmental-saving measures are also being taken in lighting. LED lighting has been installed in the galleries and in the offices of the museum. Thanks to the museums Zero Waste Project, our waste management has been greatly improved. Paper and cardboard, cups, plastic, food waste and PET bottles are collected separately, and a bio-digester for food waste has been installed in the kitchen. This is not only sustainable in terms of waste disposal, but it also saves on transportation of containers. Pet bottles with deposits are donated to charity.
