Boom Chicago

Boom Chicago, combines great facilities, creativity, comedy and a can-do attitude. We love special events. Let’s create something spectacular together! Boom Chicago’s Theater on the Rozengracht was the first large cinema built in Amsterdam in 1913, almost a decade before Tuschinski. The warm, industrial space has since been rebuilt as three theaters with a bar and catering services. The complex includes dressing rooms, offices and break out spaces. Behind the scenes, the facilities are modern. The heating, air conditioning and wifi were replaced in 2022. The Main Theater seats 350 and holds 500 standing. The capacity of the Upstairs Theater is 120 and the Attic theater accommodates up to 35. The funky Boom Chicago bar features high ceilings, original stained glass windows and event space for 15-150 people.

Sustainability

Boom Chicago embraces sustainability by incorporating several key practices. We prioritize energy efficiency by utilizing energy-efficient lights, reducing electricity consumption. Recycling programs ensure the responsible disposal of materials like paper, plastic, and glass, minimizing waste. To tackle food waste, we collaborate with local caterers, ensuring that excess food is repurposed or donated to local organizations. By partnering with community-based caterers, we support local businesses while promoting sustainable practices. These initiatives form the foundation of our commitment to sustainability at Boom Chicago, where environmental responsibility and community engagement go hand in hand.

Accessibility

Our theater is wheelchair accessible (including toilet), but please let us know if someone in your party is coming in a wheelchair. The Upstairs Theater and Attic are not wheelchair accessible. (hello@boomchicago.nl or 020 217 0400).
