Full Moon Garden
Perched over busy shopping street Leidsestraat is a Chinese restaurant that’s been making waves from The Hague to Hong Kong. Building on the success of their three successful restaurants in Den Haag and their gold medal win for Cantonese Cuisine at the World Master Chefs Competition in 2018, the Kwok family have now brought their successful Cantonese concept to Amsterdam. The siu long bao (soup dumplings), siu mai (ground pork and shrimp dumplings), crispy scallion pancakes and hor fan (stir-fry with sticky flat rice noodles, tender beef and salted vegetables) are highly recommended.

Party Bingo at Holland Casino Amsterdam West-Sloterdijk
Amsterdam’s latest gambling paradise now offers “Live Bingo – The Party Edition” on Fridays and Saturdays (8pm-2am). Watch the big “Bombo” mix 90 bingo balls and draw the numbers, and stamp it off on an old school bingo card (a €10 booklet lets you play four rounds) or a tablet or terminal. With a €10,000 jackpot (the biggest Bingo Jackpot in the Netherlands, apparently) and a 20-hour menu of “world cuisine” flavours, this one’s a must for lovers of games, glitz and good food.
