Another wonderful new season of The Royal Opera House has started. With classics such as Swan Lake and Carmen, every ballet and opera lover can indulge themselves again. All opera performances are subtitled in Dutch.

Schouwburg Amstelveen screens all operas and ballet performances semi-live. So this is after the live screenings from London.

December 3: Don Quixote - The Royal Ballet: Based on the epic novel of the same title by Miguel de Cervantes, Don Quixote tells the adventures of the eccentric nobleman Don Quixote and his loyal servant Sancho Panza

March 3: Manon - The Royal Ballet: His acute insight into human psychology and his masterfully narrative choreography are fully expressed in the impassioned duets of the central couple, burning with intense and urgent desire.

April 21: Madama Butterfly - The Royal Opera: A heartbreaking tragedy by Puccini.

May 26: Swan Lake - The Royal Ballet: The most compelling story of love, betrayal and forgiveness.

June 2: Carmen - The Royal Opera: Damiano Michieletto's dazzling new production captures all the passion and glow of Bizet's score.

June 23: Andrea Chenier - The Royal Opera: Jonas Kaufmann sings the lead in David McVicar's spectacular performance of Giordano's epic historical drama.
