RIGHTABOUTNOW INC. presents a powerful double bill featuring two daring performances where pole dance, spoken word, and performance art converge. Two makers, two unique worlds, one evening where the body takes center stage as an instrument of resistance and liberation. On view at CC Amstel Amsterdam.
Double bill: My Pussy Is Coming For You & Monolith 2
In My Pussy Is Coming For You , creator and performer Rachel Hansoul transforms personal experiences with street harassment into an explosive performance of spoken word and pole dance. In a city where the street sometimes feels like a hunting ground, she refuses to make herself smaller. With raw honesty and powerful physical expression, she reclaims her body, her voice, and her space. The performance moves between vulnerability and strength and shows how female sexuality can shift from object to source of autonomy and liberation. The performance was awarded the Fringe at Best Awards 2025 .
In Monolith 2: The White Piece , theatre maker and pole dance artist Sofie Kramer and composer Mári Mákó create a futuristic performance in which pole dance, sound art, and fashion merge. A specially designed pole functions as a sensory instrument that responds to touch and movement. Every movement of the body generates sound, creating a hypnotic dialogue between performer, technology, and space. The result is an intensely physical and visual experience in which mythology, cyborg theory, and ritual converge in an ecstatic performance.
Together, these two performances form an evening full of physical intensity, political urgency, and radical imagination. A double bill in which the body not only dances, but speaks, fights, and imagines new forms of freedom.
On Friday 22 and Saturday 23 May, this performance can be seen as a double bill at CC Amstel Amsterdam.
