From house parties to international stages

GoldFish started small. Dominic Peters and David Pool studied during the day and DJed at house parties in South Africa in the evenings. There, they developed a sound that no one else made: a mix of house, pop, and jazz with African rhythms, saxophone, and electronic beats. That approach took them from Cape Town to stages worldwide.

Characteristic sound with acoustic elements

What sets GoldFish apart is the combination of live instruments and electronic production. The saxophone takes center stage, complemented by warm pianos and acoustic elements. You can hear this on their album If Summer Was A Sound , which the duo released in late 2023. The record demonstrates how they connect their roots with a contemporary, danceable sound.

Special ADE show at the Melkweg

For this show, GoldFish has chosen the Melkweg in Amsterdam, one of the most famous pop concert venues in the Netherlands. The location suits the duo: accessible, energetic, and with a strong sense of dance music. The show is part of Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the largest club music festival in Europe.
