Kybba brings the Basshall sound to Melkweg
Kybba grew up in the Salento region of Italy and developed into a producer and artist with deep roots in Jamaican and Latin American music. He combines dancehall with bass and Caribbean influences and built an international community around this sound through his Basshall Movement. He scored international hits with tracks like Colombian and Pon Di Ting . His debut mixtape How You Bad Suh (2025) features collaborations with artists such as Barrington Levy and Bounty Killer.
Metropole Orchestra as a powerful foundation
The Metropole Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Simon Dobson, orchestrally develops the sounds of Kybba. The combination of a large live orchestra with dancehall and Caribbean rhythms gives the concert a unique character. It is an encounter between genres that you do not often see coming together on a stage.
