Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is one of the largest electronic music festivals and conferences in the world. Every year, it draws tens of thousands of visitors and artists to Amsterdam. The opening night sets the tone for five days of electronic music, and this year, Colombian-American DJ and producer Jhonatan Ospina does so together with the Brazilian platform HouseMag.

Jhonatan Ospina combines hypnotic techno with progressive house and deep, emotional sound textures. A defining feature of his performance is the live use of the Moog Theremini, an electronic instrument he plays with gestures. With this, he brings an expressive, almost theatrical dimension to the dance floor. His sound draws on influences from Colombia, Miami, and Brazil.
