Church service during Amsterdam Pride and World Pride 2026

At the start of Amsterdam Pride and World Pride 2026, the Oudekerk community is organizing a special church service in the Oude Kerk, the oldest building in Amsterdam. The service is dedicated to all loves and sexual orientations. Sandro Kortekaas of LGBT Asylum Support will deliver the sermon, with Klaas Touwen as officiant. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to chat over coffee.

Celebrating and commemorating in the LGBTQI+ community

During the service, attention is paid to both joy and sorrow: the community celebrates the diversity of love and reflects on the loss of loved ones. The Oude Kerk offers a special place for this — a historic building in the heart of the city with a long tradition of gathering.

Everyone is welcome.

WorldPride Amsterdam

For the first time ever, WorldPride comes to Amsterdam. From 25 July to 8 August 2026, the city will shine in every colour of the rainbow to celebrate freedom, diversity, and love in all its forms, as the Netherlands marks 25 years since becoming the first country to legalise gay marriage.
