Freedom lunch in the Indische Buurt

Come together to Meevaart to enjoy a free lunch prepared by local entrepreneurs from Javastraat. Listen to music from the Batjan Choir and poetry from a local poet, and watch a documentary by a local filmmaker about the changes in the Indian neighbourhood in Amsterdam East.

During the afternoon, you can visit stalls where attention is paid to the theme of freedom. What do you think about freedom? And how do you increase the freedom of others?

The freedom lunch is offered free of charge by the neighborhood partners BIZ - Javastraat and surrounding area business association, OBA, Elthetokerk, Alle Kleuren Oost, Vrijwilligerscentrale Amsterdam and the Meevaart. All residents are invited to join us.

There is also time for meetings, conversations and paying attention to each other. We celebrate freedom together! There is room for 70 people during the vegetarian lunch. Registration is required.
