Tinca Veerman - We Are Passengers
Throughout the month of April, artist Tinca Veerman will present the work 'We Are Passengers' in De Hallen, Amsterdam. For this presentation she made five life-size collage paintings, which hang high above the audience in the passage. With the work, Veerman wants to make us aware of our position as 'passer-by' in the world.

New works
Tinca Veerman made five double-sided collage paintings on semi-transparent patterned paper especially for this exhibition. The title refers to our role as 'passers-by' in the world. We see the world pass us by every day, in all its beauty and filth. Veerman responds to what she sees by creating colorful 'landscapes' full of contrasts and ambiguity. In passing, a narrative is formed that reflects being a passer-by in the world.
Music by Kramer
Producer and musician Kramer composed two pieces of music for 'We Are Passengers'. His cyclical compositions ' Arriving' and ' Departing' translate the theme of being a passer-by, the constant comings and goings in our lives and the accumulation of impressions that this entails.
