The first museum exhibition in the Netherlands of the renowned artist duo FAILE. The two Brooklyn-based artists, Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller, have been leading figures in street art for 25 years. The exhibition features both new and archival works: original prints and graphic compositions on paper and textile. Specially for the museum, they created a new installation of three impressive fabric columns, which will become a permanent part of the STRAAT collection from September 27.

A journey through 25 years of FAILE

The exhibition Between the Sheets takes you on a journey through the history of FAILE, the famous artist duo from Brooklyn. From their first steps on the street with handmade posters to their current work in the studio, the exhibition shows how their art has grown and evolved.

The name of the exhibition, Between the Sheets, has a double meaning. It refers to their beginnings in printmaking and at the same time shows that their art is always 'somewhere in between.' It sits between the old and the new, between criticism and nostalgia, and between popular culture and art with a capital 'A'.
