Dog Day is more than an ordinary museum visit: in addition to discovering the museum and more than 60 optical illusions, visitors can enjoy pop-ups, dog-friendly surprises, snacks, and interactive extras scattered throughout the museum. Together with their dog, visitors can be surprised by wondrous spaces, experience visual tricks, put their perception to the test, and take fun and surprising photos in the immersive environments.
The event is organized for the benefit ofDOA (Dierenopvang Amsterdam), the largest animal shelter in the Netherlands. With Dog Day, visitors contribute to the care, shelter, and rehoming of thousands of dogs and cats every year. €2 from every ticket sold is donated directly to DOA.
Dog Day is also in collaboration withButternut Box, which will be present to provide treats and special surprises for all dogs in attendance. During the event, visitors can also enjoy exclusive pop-ups and activities from local partners such asWoof&MeandBow Toys, and from local artistSofia Kobiakovska,who will create personal illustrations of visitors and their dogs on the spot!
