Restaurant Wils

Restaurant Wils is located next to the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam. On the spot where the 1928 Summer Olympics took place and where the Olympic flame was lit for the first time in history. Based on the idea of architect Jan Wils: he wanted every Amsterdammer to be able to see the Olympic flame burning in the evening.

Team Wils controls the fire like no other

And now almost a century later, a fire is burning again on Stadionplein. Restaurant Wils pays a culinary tribute to fire, the primal power of all kitchens. In the middle of fireplaces, wood ovens and hoist grills, Master Chef Joris Bijdendijk and Chef de Cuisine Thomas Val work in the open kitchen on refined dishes straight from the fire.

Wils received a Michelin star in 2021, just one year after opening.

After the kitchen closes at 9:30 PM, you can stay until 12:00 AM, when the restaurant closes.
