This petit restaurant has been built upon and named after a specific area on Marken called "The Wrong World" (a former swamp).

De Verkeerde Wereld serves Dutch cuisine, with specialties in particular fish dishes, such as kibbeling and cod and tongue gourds, and various meat dishes, such as spare ribs and steak.
Additional
De Verkeerde Wereld also offers rental of snack trucks for events with or without staff. The vehicles are suitable for preparing and selling fries & snacks, but also for fish and donuts. The vehicles are brought to the place of action, explained and installed for a fee.
Surroundings
What makes Marken so special is the original traditional costume, the monumental mounds, the characteristic wooden houses and of course the famous and most photographed lighthouse 'Het Paard van Marken'.
