Casa Peru

Authentic Peruvian food on the Amsterdam canals? That is possible at Casa Peru on the corner of the Leidsegracht and Prinsengracht. The restaurant has a large waterfront terrace and serves typical Peruvian dishes such as ceviche de pescado (raw fish), estofado de carne con papas (beef stewed in red wine) and aguadito (seafood and fish soup). To top it off, tuck into hot chocolate cake and Peruvian lemon cake.

Welcome to Lili Torres' mother's Peruvian kitchen

When Lili started Casa Peru in the heart of Amsterdam in 1994, she only had her dear mother's recipes to begin with. At home in Peru, she liked to stir the pans as a little girl. Under the strict supervision of her mother, that is. Because preparing authentic Peruvian dishes is very close. It is a kitchen with a rich history in which you can taste the influences from Southern Europe, Africa and the Far East.
