The final day of the Ragged Music Festival at Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ kicks off with a drive-filled morning concert. In a Spanish-spiced Rhapsody by Maurice Ravel, the percussion of the ensemble HIIIT propels both pianos with castanet fire. Equally rousing are the swelling waves that sweep listeners along in Philip Glass's minimalist classic Mad Rush, as well as the tight, hand-clapped rhythms of Steve Reich's Clapping Music, which are in good hands with the percussionists of HIIIT and the dancers of Rosas.
