Superfan & support: Birds with Jobs

Discover the sound of Superfan

Superfan, the musical alter ego of Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Kali Priya Flanagan, brings a unique sound. What began as a solo project has grown into a fusion of ambitious string arrangements, developed in collaboration with cellist Omeed Almassi. This collaboration has shaped Superfan's signature noisy and magnetic pop sound, which takes you on a musical journey.

Get inspired by musical influences

After signing with the London label AD 93, known for artists such as Joanne Robertson and YHWH Nailgun, Superfan has heralded the birth of ‘Acousticello’ with singles like Miss W Jones, Apeiron (Fantasy Football) and Picture Of Return_. Kali draws inspiration from albums such as _1996_ by Ryuichi Sakamoto and The Greatest_ by Cat Power. The vocal styles of Elizabeth Fraser and Rufus Wainwright resonate in his dark vocal sound.

Experience the live performances

Superfan has already performed as the opening act for The Strokes at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. This happened at the personal invitation of Julian Casablancas. In addition to this collaboration, Superfan has shared the stage with various artists from the independent music scene, including Horsegirl and Knifeplay. Don't miss this chance to experience Superfan live.

Support act Birds with Jobs

Birds with Jobs is a five-piece band from Amsterdam, consisting of quiet walkers. The band is playful by nature and moves between carefully arranged compositions and spontaneous improvisation, creating an eclectic sound that feels both intimate and surprising. Their music is described as light-footed and dreamy, with unexpected twists, subtle guitar patterns, expressive violin parts and wandering vocal melodies. With influences from folk, jazz and avant-garde, they create their own world.
