Tonight, Shaw joins the friendly, virtuos virtuoso Attacca Quartet as second violist in Felix Mendelssohn's delightful Second String Quintet . But above all, her own music is on the program.

Shaw and the Attacca Quartet won joint Grammy Awards for their albums Orange and Evergreen . The versatile quartet recently gave an impressive concert during the String Quartet Biennial at the Muziekgebouw.

For Caroline Shaw, singing, playing, and composing go hand in hand. For one of her first compositions, the Partita for 8 Voices for her own vocal group Roomful of Teeth (also a great success at the Muziekgebouw), she promptly received the Pulitzer Prize, becoming the youngest person ever to do so. Tonight, Shaw will sing, among other pieces, the beautiful song And so , which she wrote commissioned by mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter.
