Shane van Neerden
Shane van Neerden started playing the piano at age six. The Dutch-American musician has won several competitions and won the Dutch Classical Talent Award in 2024. The jury declared: "A romantic and poet of excellence!" Van Neerden delves deeply into everything, whether it's music, literature, or visual art. Tonight, he'll explore music by Beethoven, Ives, Barber, and Weber. And, of course, he'll also talk about the music himself.
Jonge Nederlanders
The "Jonge Nederlanders" series presents homegrown talent. The musicians, appearing in the Recital Hall, perform works close to their hearts, music that challenges not only the players but also the listeners' ears. You'll hear music from every stylistic period, from the Baroque and Romantic periods to contemporary music.
