Q.Festival - Portugese Muziek

The Ibertrio is a classical trio of violin, cello, and piano, consisting of musicians Nuno Meira, Américo Martins, and Isolda Crespi. The trio was founded in 2016 with the aim of raising awareness of classical music written for this ensemble from the Classical period to the present day. In 2022, the premiere took place of the piece 'Epígrafe sobre um Tema Popular Ucraniano' by composer Nuno Jacinto, which is dedicated to the Ibertrio. The Ibertrio is giving a concert in the Church of England.

About the Ibert Trio

In 2024, the Ibertrio won the 'Annual Diamond Prize' and the 'Annual Grand Champion' for chamber music at the 'European Classical Music Awards'. In 2023, they were awarded the Platinum Prize, received the most points as a representative of Portugal, and were voted Artist of the Month for July at the 'European Classical Music Awards'. They also received the First Prize at the Third International Music Competition of Lugano.

Festivals

The Ibertrio participates in and performs at various festivals, cycles, and concert halls in Portugal, including the Teatro Rivoli (Porto), Festival Internacional de Música da Primavera in Viseu, Percursos da Música in Ponte de Lima, Centro Cultural de Campo Maior, Sons ao Crespúsculo at the Cultural Center of Lagos, Sons no Património (Gaia), Ciclos de Lua Nova in Águeda, Ciclo Equinócios e Solstícios at the Museu Romântico do Porto, Auditório Municipal of Gondomar, Tempos Cruzados (Porto), and Enimus (Felgueiras). In 2024, their artistic internationalization began with a recital at the Fundación Eutherpe in León (Spain), and they currently have several projects for international festivals in preparation.
