Dates
Start of ‘Alles van Beethoven’ and a new work by Thomas Beijer
With As two as one for cello and piano, Thomas Beijer wrote a musical metaphor for a relationship: two voices that reach out to each other, seem to find each other, sometimes almost merge, but still always remain two. The Hungarian composer Sándor Veress is one of the lesser-known stars of the renowned Hungarian school of composers of the 20th century. Bartók and Kodály were his teachers and Kurtág and Ligeti were his students. His Sonata for cello solo effortlessly holds its own among similar works by Kodály and Ligeti.
This concert is part of Alles van Beethoven.
This concert will be broadcast later by the NTR on NPO Klassiek
