The Amsterdam rock trio Labasheeda has organized an instant crowdfunding show with guest musicians to release a new album.

On Saturday, May 16 at Zaal 100, the band will play two special sets, with guest contributions from Ditmer Weertman (alto sax), Herman te Loo (tenor sax), and Renato Cannavacciuolo (double bass).

Veejay Richard Neef is providing the visuals this evening.

About Labasheeda

Labasheeda is an idiosyncratic rock trio from Amsterdam and currently consists of Saskia van der Giessen (vocals, guitar, violin), Arne Wolfswinkel (guitar, bass), and George Hadow (drums). Labasheeda's music is not easily pigeonholed; the band constantly seeks new musical avenues, alternating raw punk rock with hypnotic grooves.

The unorthodox use of the violin, the often unconventional time signatures, and the distinctive voice of Saskia van der Giessen give the band its unique sound. On stage, the band delivers intense and dynamic shows. The band has toured extensively throughout Europe since its inception. In late 2023, Labasheeda released its sixth full-length album, titled Blueprints . This album was very well received internationally and described in the press as innovative.
