Thijs Willers

Thijs Willers started playing the piano at the age of five and is currently studying at the Amsterdam Conservatory. As a 'young hero', he was a guest on Podium Klassiek . In 2023, Willers won first prize at the Princess Christina Competition; furthermore, he received the Matangi Quartet Prize, after which he performed twice with that string quartet. The young pianist could previously be heard in the Kleine Zaal in March 2024 during a Lunch Concert with fellow students from the Sweelinck Academy for Young Talent at the Amsterdam Conservatory. And last season, he played with the Ferschtman family in the Kleine Zaal during a tribute to Shostakovich. Now it is time for his first solo recital!
