Puruñeka Duo presents an energetic percussion concert in the Vondelpark bandstand. Rhythm, movement, and interplay take center stage. You will listen to a varied performance featuring marimba, vibraphone, and percussion. The presentation is just as surprising as the music itself.

Who are Tirso Ortis Garrígos and Matiss Leo Meckl

Puruñeka Duo consists of Spanish percussionist Tirso Ortis Garrígos and Icelandic percussionist Matiss Leo Meckl. The duo originated at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. They regularly collaborate with dancers, choreographers, and creators from other disciplines. In 2026, they won the Grachtenfestival Conservatory Competition.

Part of the Music Band Relay

This concert is part of the Grachtenfestival's Music Pavilion Relay. This is a series of concerts in bandstands spread throughout Amsterdam. The concerts are organized in collaboration with the Muziekkapellen Foundation.
